This is the Day

Feeling drained and tired before the sun has risen, not ready to greet the day with joy, I hear my daughter singing at the top of her lungs...’This is the day that the Lord has made, let us rejoice and be glad in it!’ I am quickly reminded that every day is a gift from God and He has planned it for us. We have to consciously greet it with joy and a grateful heart, despite our current feelings and circumstances. He will give us strength to face the day and the endurance to withstand anything that comes our way. So today I choose joy and when I fail to keep that joy, I know God’s grace will cover me.
